Jack and The Cats escaping Texas

I'm Jack Howell and I am escaping Texas and restarting my life in California

I was wrongfully evicted in June and have been staying with a friend at their parents, but we've all been informed we need to be out of here by October. I will then be house/pet sitting for a friend through October but after, I plan on driving alone with my 4 cats (Doom, Slayer, Heinkel and Yumie) from DFW to southern California.

I originally ended up in Texas to escape a violent, hostile and extremely unsafe living situation, but Texas is no longer sustainable. It's very hard to do even something like deliveries to make money because ICE has begun to quietly occupy the metro parts of DFW. My usual job markets have all been effected by recent Texas legislation or the presence of ICE and there's next to no opportunities for me to get back onto my feet here.

Luckily I have two jobs and possibly a third waiting for me in California, I just need to make the 1400 mile drive in one piece. I plan to use the money to make some repairs on my car, prep for the trip (gas, oil change, filters, etc) and keep the cats fed and happy. Eventually I plan to go over how insanely stressful, dangerous and turbulent living in Texas has been in a video, but for now I just want to make it to California with my cats safe, sound and whole.
