Jack and Sylvia Run (Waddle) For Charity

My mom and I are running the Brooklyn Half Marathon on April 24th! To augment our slow and achy run, we decided to raise some money for charity. I chose Street Corner Resources Inc., a nonprofit based in Harlem. (As some of you know, I recently moved to Harlem.)

Street Corner Resources' mission is to eliminate gun violence and to provide young adults and community members greater access to employment, education, training, and other resources to help enhance their lives.

The nonprofit operates an anti-gun violence program that includes community outreach, youth development, mental health services, school-based conflict mediation services, a hospital responder program, and a mobile trauma unit.
