Help Jack and Martha recover after the loss of their home

Brunswick friends and neighbors,

Our wonderful neighbors, Jack and Martha Tucker, fixtures in the Bowdoin-Whittier-Berry block for many decades, lost their lovely home and most of their possessions to a fierce fire late last night. Thank goodness they and KC were not harmed physically, although the toll of this terrifying event will surely be felt for a long time.

We are all very grateful to Brunswick's firefighters for responding so quickly, putting the fire out and preventing it from spreading to nearby homes. Nevertheless, the home appears to be a total loss.

The neighborhood is pulling together to support Jack and Martha as they recover from this terrible fire. For now, they are staying in a local hotel, and in addition to some help with that expense, we will reach out to them to see what they need in the days ahead.
