Jack and Alex take on Race Across America 2022

Hi,

We are Jack and Alex Forster and we are looking to raise £170,000 pounds for The Royal Bournemouth Hospital Stroke Unit.

Each Tilt Table cost 80,000 pounds and we are trying to buy two to help support the Walkabot and their Robotic facility at the                           UHD Hospitals.

We are taking a team over to America to compete in the world famous ultra endurance cycling race - Race Across America (RAAM).               This race is 3000 miles long, crossing 12 states, climbing in total 170,000 feet of elevation nearly 7 times higher than Mount Everest, all      has to be completed within a time cap of 8 days. Once the clock starts it doesnt stop until we finish. Myself and Alex will relay this race through deserts, mid west, mountain ranges racing west to east.

We are doing this race to show people that if you apply yourself then anything is possible and with that we decided to raise money for the Stroke Unit within the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. We are raising this amount of money to pay for The Tilt Table and other devices to help people that have suffered with a stroke to increase their recovery. This piece of equipment will help the patient gain up to 10,000 more        steps a day without putting the body under severe pressure and strain. This is the only one of these in the UK and we are lucky to have it     based on our doorstep for us or our family members.

We will be completing various events over the year to raise awareness for the race and the charity.
