Please help contribute to the care of Julie's beloved personal pet, Jack. Many of us know that Julie Steffen runs a self funded rescue - Mosh Pit. She has been extremely generous in housing owner's pets who have fallen on hard times, covered fees for owners whose pets have been impounded by KCAS, sponsored adoption fees, ran pop can drives to spay and nueter, volunteered countless hours in our community. We would like to repay her kindness without having the additional stress of this financial burden.
Jack is Julie’s HEART!!!! She needs him and we need her! Jack went into Blue Pearl ICU last night because he wasn’t feeling good and wasn’t having a bowel movement. The vet found him dehydrated with an enlarged stomach from a possible blockage, with the possibility of surgery. He has been stable at Blue Pearl while they are trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with him.

“No real change overnight.
Stomach slightly larger. Xrays showing nothing obvious. Blood work normal.
We can go visit today but he’s drugged up.
They can emergency ultrasound today or keep him stable and ultrasound tomorrow which may or may not find anything.
If that doesn’t show anything it’s 4-5k on top of everything else to do surgery where they may or may not find anything and they take biopsies. The vet used so many words and it all only half makes sense I’m too broken to understand.
I’m completely falling apart. This dog is my best friend and my entire world. It’s his third birthday. I can’t lose him.
I don’t mix rescue money with my personal money. I don’t feel right about setting up a go fund me or asking for donations through Mosh Pit. Jack is my personal dog. Blue Pearl is not taking donations (who knows why) but they aren’t.
Please make this stop. I’m so scared.”
