My amazing five-year old son, Jace was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in July of 2019. Neuroblastoma is a very rare and aggressive type of cancer that develops from immature nerve cells found in several areas of the body. It is usually found in the adrenal glands but can also develop in the belly, chest, neck, pelvis, bones and near the spine, where groups of nerve cells exist. Some forms of neuroblastoma go away on their own, while others may require multiple treatments. Children ages five or younger are most commonly affected. Jace is currently being treated at Boston Children’s Hospital/The Jimmy Fund Clinic. He is the first patient at Children’s to be enrolled in a new 18 month clinical trial which includes chemotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery to remove his tumor and radiation therapy. Jace like any 5-year old loves to run, jump, play and read. He also loves boxing, magic, legos and video games. Some of his favorite foods are pizza, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, turkey sandwiches, strawberries, bananas... Oops and I almost forgot yummy, blueberry muffins! I’m using GoFundMe to help raise money to aid in his fight against childhood cancer. Even if you are unable to donate, please just say a prayer for Jace. I know my faith in God and love, along with your prayers, will help Jace win this battle. God Bless and thank you all.
