Jace Mooney’s Medical Expenses
Donation protected
One of Girard’s own firefighters has served his community faithfully for over 30 years, answering calls to emergencies within Girard without hesitation. Now it is his family that is in need and time for our community to rally around him in support!
Born a little early at 6 lbs & 10oz, Jace Michael Mooney was welcomed into this world by his loving family in January.
From the moment he opened his eyes, he was a cherished bundle of joy.
His family quickly became aware that this special boy was 1 of only 150,000
born with a rare condition: he was born missing a bone in his leg. The condition is called Fibular Hemimelia.
At 7 months old now, he hasn’t let this stop him from showing his bubbly personality and enjoying his life being spoiled by
loving parents and grandparents.
Now that Jace is beginning to be more active though, his quality of life has been
hindered by his rare condition which
has begun to restrict his movements.
After seeking several medical consults,
the only way to improve his future quality of life is with several trips out of state to seek doctors that will be able to help him and astronomically expensive medical procedures that the family’s insurance only
covers a small portion of.
Let’s support the Mooney family!
