HI, my name is Chuck and I am starting this fundraiser for my wife Candace.

On September 11th 2020 my wife Candace was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer. Which is an extremely aggressive hormone fed cancer that is not curable but treatable. She was scheduled to have a double mastectomy in October. But on October 18th a week before her surgery she passed out in our bathroom and fractured her skull causing a brain bleed. Her mastectomy was rescheduled for December. In the last 3 years of her battling cancer her breast cancer is now stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. It has moved into her liver and bones. Due to the treatment done on her liver she is now stage C cirrhosis of the liver . She is undergoing ENHERTU chemo for her cancer and has recently had her overlies removed to decrease the amount of estrogen in her body that the cancer is feeding on. This has been a huge financial and mental burden on us. She will have to remain on treatments for the rest of her life. Any amount will help. All she wants is to be here to see her grandchildren grow up and live as much of a normal life as posable.

On December 26th 2023 Candace was place on Hospice care and has been given 2 to 6 months to live due to the amount of damage to her liver from the cancer, also she is no longer going through chemo treatments. She is in good spirits and resting peacefully at home dealing with what has been going on. I have cut my hours at work to part time, 5 hours a day, to be home with her as much as possible.
