Our garden cat, Jabba, was recently mauled and almost killed. He survived but was severely wounded and developed a massive infection and tissue loss that required an emergency surgery with many follow up visits and protocols.
He’s out of the woods, but is still going for almost-daily bandage changes until we can be sure his wound is safe to suture up. So far we've had the initial surgery and 4 follow-up bandage changes, with 2-3 visits remaining at least.
We’re raising funds to help cover the cost of Jabba’s emergency surgery and ongoing care. His treatment plan has included one major operation and multiple intensive follow-up visits, with more still ahead. Every little bit helps as we work to keep him comfortable and healing.
More than anything, though, Jabba needs a safe, loving home. He’s FIV+ and will need to live indoors, away from other unvaccinated cats. We’re committed to seeing his medical care through to the end, what he needs now is someone willing to give him the next chapter he deserves. If you or someone you know has room in their heart and home for a very sweet, very tough survivor, please reach out.
