Thanks to everyone’s generous donations, Jabba had three teeth removed on 30th May and recovered well from his surgery.
Your donations paid for a biopsy of the growth in his mouth, the results came back positive for Squamous cell carcinoma, which is a fast growing, invasive cancer.
After discussions with Jabba’s vet and some research I decided against putting Jabba through chemotherapy. This particular cancer doesn’t respond well to chemo and Jabs may have only lived for an extra few weeks from it.
It’s difficult for the vet to say how long he has left to live, it’s very much an each week and day at a time situation. He may have a month - six months left. He’s slowed down a lot in the past week. As this form of cancer gets it’s own blood supply he’s been dropping weight rapidly yet eating more and more.
He’s got a vet appointment on Tuesday 28th June for a checkup and to get him on some CBD/THC oil to mellow him out and help with the pain. Again, your donations will help pay for this.
I can’t thank everyone enough for all of the kind messages of love and support through this difficult time. I’ve been blown away by the generosity of each of your donations. ♥️
