Jabari’s Fight Against Sarcoma

Hello my name is Asiah I am Jabari’s mother. Jabari (14) is one of the most compassionate, smart, creative boys you’ll ever meet. He absolutely love his family especially his little big sister. Jabari loves designing and creating video games, music, and movie trailers. Spider-Man and Marvel oh how he loves it. In March of this year, Jabari started complaining of a sore throat, which just kept getting worse. He kept testing negative for Covid and strep and no one seemed to know what it was. After seeing 3 different doctors, 1 hospital visit, and 2 care stations no one was able to pin point what the exact issue was. It wasn’t until I took him to Beth Isreal, where they did a CAT scan they found a sarcoma tumor in his throat. The tumor had grown near his air way only leaving 10% of his airway open. We were rushed to New Brunswick and placed in ICU. The doctors/surgeons performed the procedure that was able to remove most of the tumor. However he would not be able to be put to sleep during the beginning of the surgery, because the tumor would crush his airway. So my baby had to be up during the first hour of this 7.5 hour surgery. The surgeons were only able to do a partial removal which he then needed to have a tracheotomy and chemo due to the remainder of the tumor. Right now we are currently going through inpatient chemo which we are hospitalized for 4 days each time. Between the hospital stays and appointments I unfortunately lost my job, not only did I lose my job I’m also unable to do events and cake orders due to our schedule. Any one that knows me know how hard it is to even ask but if you’re able to donate anything I would greatly appreciate it. Even if all you have is prayers that’s appreciated as well.
