Help The Archey Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
Update: Deepest gratitude for all the support from our friends and family in our community!! THANK YOU. We have put a pause on donations to analyze, assess and replenish what is needed at this time.
On Sunday morning November 10th, the Archey’s house caught on fire. The fire investigators declared the cause an electrical fire. The home their late father built and all of their belongings have been destroyed. Melissa (Dave’s daughter) and I are creating this fundraiser as well as preparing various benefits (food/drink/art) on their behalf, hoping to raise enough money to arrange livable housing for Dave as well as replenish basic needs such as clothes, toiletries, a bed, blankets, etc.
I dont even know how to set a goal for this devastating time, but even 1 buck or sharing this link to spread awareness will help immensely.
Dave and Steve are Oñk Akimel O’odham, born and raised in Los Angeles and have lived in that house all their life. This month is Native American Heritage Month-we dont think much of it but if you would like to do your part in honoring our people, please take this opportunity to contribute to Native elders suffering a devastating loss.
Thank you very much from all of us
