In the fall of 2010 long-time Hastings resident Dave Nyman was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Shortly after his diagnosis he underwent surgery to successfully remove his right kidney and has lived the past 5 years cancer free. Dave has spent his life building a hair styling business; raising 3 beautiful daughters and created an amazing life with his lovely wife Stephanie. In June Dave and his family learned that his kidney cancer had returned and has now spread to his pancreas and liver. While he is currently undergoing treatment to fight the tumors that have re-metastasized Dave has had to reduce his time at work due to the fatigue his treatment causes.
