Hello,

My name is Daisy Herr, Nathaniel Cota's sister, and I am reaching out to everyone who loves our wonderful Natedogg. As many of you know he is the most loving, fun, and adventurous son, brother, uncle, and friend imaginable. Nathan has a huge heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone.

Our family had our world completely shattered early Sunday morning, December 7th, when we received the news that Nathan had been in a horrific car accident. He was knocked unconscious and his car became fully engulfed in flames, but thankfully he was pulled out quickly by a brave bystander. Nathan is severely burned over 40% of his body and is currently in the UC Irvine Medical Center ICU burn unit receiving intensive treatment. He is in an induced coma and considered to be in critical but stable condition.

Our mom, Shaina Lynch, and Nate's entire family arrived as quickly as possible to be with him. Our mom, of course, will not be leaving his side until he walks out of here alongside her. Nathan will require over a dozen surgeries and multiple forms of rehabilitation. The doctors anticipate this to be an extremely long journey with the first 2-3 months being in-patient here in the burn unit. Even longer to be back to running marathons and climbing mountains.

We ask for continual prayers for his strength and recovery. I am setting this up to support Nathan and help ensure he has as little financial strain as possible once he has recovered. I also would like to support our mom so she can stay here right by Nathan's side and continue to advocate for him.
