The Hanstrum family know no other way but to fight. Fight for love, fight for family.
Background
Susan (27 years old) and Harley (38 years old) and their twins Jackson and Lily aged 3.
Susan is currently going through breast cancer treatment and as you can imagine, this year has been tough on the young family. Harley hasn’t been able to work much as he has been looking after Susan and the kids, so at times, things have been extremely tough.
Current Situation
Susan’s treatment
Diagnosed on April 23rd 2018
Stage 2, Grade 3, ER+ Breast Cancer that had also spread to Right Side Lymph Nodes
Age 27
Positive BRCA1 Gene Mutation
Procedures- Double Mastectomy with Right Side Axillary Lymph Node Clearance
Chemotherapy- Started July 10th (x4 Rounds of Dense AC and currently working through x12 Rounds of Taxol)
Radiation- To start in the New Year 2019 (Daily Radiation for 4-6 Weeks)
Reconstruction Surgery once Chemo and Radiation Complete
Hormonal Therapy for 5+ years
Our Ask
Susan and Harley have always been private, independent and each other's support during this trying time, but we want to show them that they have friends and strangers alike that would like to help out and make the journey they are going through at the moment and also for the following year ahead, a little easier.
We would like to help Susan by raising some money, just to help take some of the pressure off when the expenses came in.
