On February 17th, the Requeno-Payes family joyfully welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Noah Kaiyel. Miriam and Daniel, along with their 7-year-old son, Matthew, were over the moon as they held their newborn in their arms. Baby Noah appeared to be healthy, and the family was excited to begin this new chapter of their lives.
However, on February 25th, just eight days after his birth, everything changed. Noah began experiencing difficulty breathing and vomiting. Concerned, Miriam and Daniel rushed him to the hospital, where doctors discovered that Noah has two serious heart conditions: coarctation of the aorta and a septal defect. These diagnoses mean that Noah will need to undergo heart surgery at just eight days old. While Noah is in stable condition in the cardiac intensive care unit, he is currently intubated and faces a challenging road ahead.
This news has completely devastated the Requeno-Payes family. Miriam, who is currently studying in nursing school, has made the difficult decision to put her semester on hold in order to focus on her family. Daniel, although working, is doing everything he can to be there for his wife and their children, particularly Noah, while trying to maintain some sense of routine for 7-year-old Matthew.
At this time, the family is facing significant financial strain. They are incurring unexpected medical bills, transportation costs to and from the hospital, as well as daily living expenses and food. This is a lot for a family to handle, especially during such an emotionally overwhelming time.
We are asking for any financial support to help ease the burden of these expenses and reduce some of the stress on the family. Every little bit helps, and your support would mean the world to Miriam, Daniel, and Noah.
If you are unable to donate, we kindly ask for your prayers as the Requeno-Payes family navigates this difficult journey. Your prayers for Noah’s health and recovery, as well as strength for his parents, will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support.
