Support Jorge Magana's Family in Their Time of Need

This fundraiser was set up for my father Jorge Magana and Wife Erendira Magana, the donations will be used to help pay funeral costs and transportation to Mexico

My father Jorge Magana worked very hard, he was working a few days before his surgery and was already making plans for when he completed his recovery. My dad would make friends everywhere he went and was very charismatic, and would start telling you stories almost immediately after meeting him, and he had stories about himself or friends for every occasion. My wife did an interview for school about his life and he did say he was happy even with everything that happened to him if he has to live his life the same again he would. My mother is not currently working due to health issues and she has been by my father's side everyday while he was in the hospital.

Two months ago he went in for open heart surgery. It was successful he even began planning how he could help my brothers with their work. During recovery he had complications which included a stroke and that's when we slowly started losing him. Even during this process family would video call him and he would smile or laugh. He fought very hard to try to get better but he had too many complications. My father passed away on June 26th 2024 he had my mother and sisters by his side. This is a very difficult time for all of us especially for those who knew my father and the kind of man he was.

Services will be held in Alabama on July 2nd between 7pm to 9pm. A service will also be held in Mexico which will be at a later time. Once we have that information it will be posted here.

Mi padre Jorge Magana trabajó muy duro, estaba trabajando unos días antes de su cirugía y ya estaba haciendo planes para cuando completara su recuperación. Mi padre hacía amigos dondequiera que iba, y era muy carismático. Compartía sus historias casi inmediatamente después de conocerlo, y tenía historias sobre sí mismo o amigos para cada ocasión. Mi esposa le hizo una entrevista para su escuela sobre su vida y él dijo que estaba feliz incluso con todo lo que le sucedió si tuviera que vivir su vida de la misma manera que lo haría. Mi madre por ahorita no está trabajando por problemas de salud, pero mi mamá a estado al lado de mi papa todo los días que estubo en el hospital.

Hace dos meses necesito cirugía a corazón abierto. Fue un éxito, incluso comenzó a planear cómo podía ayudar a mis hermanos con su trabajo. Durante la recuperación tuvo complicaciones que incluyeron un derrame cerebral y fue entonces cuando lentamente comenzamos a perderlo. Incluso durante este proceso, la familia le llamaba en video y él sonreía o se reía. Luchó muy duro para tratar de mejorar, pero tuvo demasiadas complicaciones. Mi padre falleció el 26 de junio de 2024 y tenía a mi madre y hermanas a su lado. Este es un momento muy difícil para todos nosotros, especialmente para aquellos que conocían a mi padre y el tipo de hombre que fue.

Los servicios se llevarán a cabo en Alabama el 2 de julio entre las 7 p.m. y las 9 p.m. También se llevará a cabo un servicio en México que será más adelante. Una vez que tengamos esa información, se publicará aquí.
