My beautiful, amazing mum lost her battle to ovarian cancer, aged 62 in March last year.
Our hearts are forever broken, nothing will ever make us feel better, but I want to try and make a difference by raising money for an Ovarian cancer charity. So I’ll be running a 10k in May to raise some money for this charity dedicated to helping those suffering from ovarian cancer.
It’s a cruel, aggressive disease and unfortunately survival rates haven’t improved much. That’s why I want to raise money to try and improve those statistics for other women who are battling this awful disease.
March is ovarian cancer awareness month, so I wanted to get signed up and share whilst we’re still in the month of March. The signs and symptoms are included in my images.
We love and miss you always and forever mum. Xxxxxxxx
More information about Ovarian Cancer Action: We're Ovarian Cancer Action. A charity dedicated to beating the UK's most deadly gynaecological disease. Every two hours a woman loses her life to this awful disease.
At the moment diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer lags behind high profile cancers such as breast and prostate cancer.
We find and fund the innovators who will help us break this cancer.
We're here to champion the cause and bring people together to overcome a disease that strikes at the heart of what it means to be a woman.
