Help Me Become a Firefighter

I have been accepted into the Porterville Wildland Fire Academy,  which is one of the most prestigious wildland fire academies in the nation;  however, I don't have the funds to pay for it.  The school is 3 1/2 hours away from my house,  so I would need a room to rent.  The academy is a 12 week academy,  weekends only. I am asking for 5,500, which will cover the cost of my required books, uniforms, turnout coat, food, lodging, and gas.  The reason I need financial aid is because my parents can't afford to pay for the school.  My father has lost his job, so our health insurance will be taken out of my mom's paycheck, not leaving enough money to pay the mortgage or bills, let alone my schooling. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
