Hi, my name is Tasha, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my sister, Amanda, who is currently facing one of the hardest battles of her life.

At the end of last year, Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer—two different types, in both breasts. After many appointments, tests, and difficult conversations, her doctors determined she must undergo a double mastectomy on February 10th, followed by chemotherapy and radiation.

Amanda is a mom of five amazing kids, and her entire world revolves around caring for them. As she begins treatment, she will be forced to step away from work, resulting in lost income, while medical bills and everyday living expenses continue to pile up. The financial stress is something no family should have to carry on top of a cancer diagnosis—but unfortunately, it’s the reality many face.

We are hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover:

• Medical bills and treatment-related expenses

• Household and living costs while she’s unable to work

• Basic needs for her and her children during recovery

Amanda is strong, loving, and selfless—but even the strongest people need help sometimes. Any donation, no matter the size, will ease the burden so she can focus on healing and being present for her kids.
