On May 8th 2018 at 1:34am my beautiful angel, Jordyn Emerie Johnson was called home to be with Our Heavenly Father. At birth baby J was diagnosed with a heart condition called Truncus Arterious with Pulmonary Artery Stenosis. Throughout Jordyn’s short life she had multiple surgeries and Cath procedures to prolong her life. After her 3rd Cath Procedure and Open Heart Surgery she was released from the hospital on 12-16-16. For 15 months she was able to be a normal baby and enjoy her precious life here on earth with all of her family and loved ones. On April 8, 2018 Jordyn was admitted back into the hospital once again for Rhinovirus and upper respiratory infection complications. After running several tests, echos and X-rays we soon found out that her right ventricle and pulmonary artery were very sick. She was air lifted to Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas,TX where it was confirmed that she needed yet another cath procedure to attempt to balloon and stent her arteries. After being on a machine called ECMO for 12 days to give her heart and lungs rest the doctors at Medical City Children’s had a meeting concerning Jordyn and decided on a 4th OH surgery. Her last surgery was on May 2, 2018. Waiting 13hours for Jordyn to get out of surgery was the most heart wrenching and scary time of our lives. After her heart surgeon came into the waiting room and told me everything had went so well during the procedure,my heart was filled with so much joy. A couple days later we found out that Jordyn wasn’t getting any blood flow to her brain and that the machines she was on was only keeping her body alive but my baby’s spirit was already in glory. She passed away peacefully in my arms after removal of life support and I thank God for allowing it to be that way and for giving me the strength to do so. Unfortunately Jordyn didn’t have life insurance because of her medical conditions. So we are having to come up with all funeral expenses to give my beautiful angel the perfect home going. We appreciate all thoughts, prayers and donations. Jordyn’s legacy will live in our hearts forever! Maymen<~~how she said Amen
