Officer Misti Waldrop is a single mom with a two-year-old daughter, she has been in law-enforcement for 10 years and currently works for the Ector County Independent School District Police Department and is assigned to Permian High School.
Last month Officer Waldrop was diagnosed with lung cancer.
As some of you may know, Officer Waldrop has a long and tough road ahead of her. The cost of treatments (chemo and radiation) and traveling back-and-forth to M.D. Anderson in Houston will be costly, extensive and will require time off work and away from home which can only add to the stress involved in the months ahead.
So please let’s give Officer Waldrop The chance to be a mom and raise her two year old daughter without the added concerns.
