Funeral for Brian Carpenter
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Eden. I’m writing this on behalf of my siblings Ethan, Aaron, and Alchemy who lost their dad, and for my mom who lost her husband this morning. (Brian)
In December of 2023, Brian was hospitalized due to a heart attack and kidney failure linked to his diabetes. Brian spent around 20 days in the hospital, he was told he would need dialysis indefinitely and would not be able to leave until a spot at a kidney center became available. After earning a spot at the Northwest Kidney Center in Renton, Brian was finally discharged and able to go home.
Brian attended dialysis 3 times a week, 4 hours at a time for 4 months but his health only continued to decline.
On April 10th Brian had another heart attack and was rushed to the ICU. Ethan and Aaron stayed with Brian in the hospital for 6 hours, eventually went home and told Brian they would be back in the morning with mom, and they said their goodbyes.
On April 11th at around 6:45 am, my mom received a call from the emergency room, saying that the family should come to the hospital because Brian didn’t do very well throughout the night. Brian had another heart attack and the doctors performed multiple rounds of cpr and helped him stabilize. Ethan, Aaron, Alchemy and my mom rushed to the hospital to see Brian. Upon arrival, the doctors were performing cpr on Brian again and unfortunately could not resuscitate him.
Brian was a man of many talents. He was a singer, a survivalist, a guitarist, a story teller, and an amazing computer tech.
He didn’t always cook, but the things he did cook became staples in our house growing up. He was a father who taught many amazing life lessons to kids and was a husband who never failed to make his wife laugh, no matter the situation.
Please send your prayers to my family. This tragedy was very unexpected and we were not prepared financially for any funeral costs. Anything helps, even just a share.
Thank you
