I've just recently been diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. I am scheduled to undergo a lumpectomy on March 10th. With my husband's recent kidney transplant, I don't have much time saved up to take time off work. FMLA will protect my job; however, I will have to pay health insurance out of pocket. That could be anywhere from $1,200 to $1,500 a month. My health insurance is very important for both my treatments and my husband's transplant medications. Any help is greatly appreciated.
