NEW UPDATE (4/01) Well we moved to stage 4. It metastases in his liver. Mike is in good spirits as he is taking another round of chemo today. We are still hoping for a hail Mary.
NEW UPDATE (3/22)
He started chemo earlier this week on Wednesday. It's been kicking his butt. He's been very nauseous and hardly able to eat. Studies show that the first few runs of chemo can be the hardest. He will have chemo every other week now.
There's a test they do (it's called a cancer marker) ( I believe it test the cancer in your blood) and the doctors want to see it at 50 but right now his is at 480. So continuing prayers for those levels to go down and for continued strength for everyone.
Another UPDATE (3/11)
He had a CT scan hopefully to prove there's no cancer in his lungs. He had a port implanted. This will provide a way to infuse the chemotherapy medication. This also allows blood draws without a new poke every time. He's in some pain but it's expected to go away in a few days.
Just a quick UPDATE for everyone,
He had an appointment this morning (3/5). He is in stage 3 of pancreatic cancer. They have updated his meds to help better with the pain and the are going to do more scans and testing to see if it has spread to other places like the lungs. They hope that in a few weeks he can start chemo. We are just so beyond blessed with the amount of love everyone has shown, and grateful for all the support and prayers.
Within the recent days, my father Mike, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Still unsure of the stage it's in,
We know that it is going to be a rough road moving forward. My father will not be able to work, as well as my mother (she may still rarely work) considering she will spend her time now caring for appointment making, med management, and all that's included. He was recently diagnosed with celiac disease last year as well which can be costly on its own.
All funds will be directed to medical cost, and help to keep the monthly bills from piling up while we all focus on making the situation as comfortable as possible in hopes that things will get better. All prayers and positive thoughts are immensely appreciated.
