William

Our colleague, Janine East, has a son called William. William will be 16 in February 2024.

Within a few months of Williams birth in 2008, William was diagnosed with a high grade brain tumour and underwent three major brain surgery operations, followed by lengthy treatment which was successful.

Again in 2015, when William was 7 the tumour returned and was operated on again with a course of treatment and the treatment was successful.

In September 2023 William was diagnosed with another brain tumour and had major surgery to remove it. Very sadly the tumour was high grade and aggressive and William has received a terminal prognosis which is short. William is currently receiving chemotherapy in an attempt to stop the tumour growing, but even with this treatment, there is no guarantee that this will give him any extra time.

William, together with parents Janine and James, and younger brother Rhys (aged 11) are using every moment of time that they have between treatment sessions to fulfil William’s requests of places to go and things to see and make memories together as a family.

We at Harris Fowler have set up this GoFundMe page to raise money to enable the family to make trips and have those special experiences. William is a huge Lego fan and would like to revisit Legoland Windsor with his family, and stay at the park (which is now planned for February 2024). He would also like to go on some steam train trips.
