Hi, my name is Amanda, and my cat Ollie is currently being hospitalized after an unexpected and frightening medical emergency.

Just last week Ollie was his normal, playful self. Then, after a routine vet visit and vaccinations, he suddenly became lethargic, stopped eating, and spiked a 105°F fever. We rushed to the emergency vet where he’s been undergoing tests, X-rays, and treatment for severe inflammation and dehydration. The cause at this time is unknown.

He’s currently on IV fluids and medication, fighting to recover. The vets believe keeping him in the hospital is what’s giving him the best chance to fully stabilize and hopefully come home soon.

Veterinary hospital care costs thousands of dollars and as a young professional these costs will be leaving Ollie and I with very little left. I’m doing everything I can for him, but I could really use help covering the remaining costs of his treatments so he can be helped the way he needs to be.
