In memory of Jin Pyo

It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news that we have to say goodbye to my baby brother Jin. After two years, Jin lost his hard fought battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer the day after Thanksgiving. He tried to enjoy his final years with his daughter, Abby, wife, Euni, our parents, myself, and his friends and colleagues but it became more difficult in the past few months due to his cancer becoming very aggressive throughout his body. Despite this, he tried to be there for his family and friends but this was short changed as he was expected to have much more time to spend with us.

The loss of Jin is immeasurable, but so is the love that he left for his family and friends. He was a foodie who loved his coffee, a world traveler both local and a far, art/sports/music lover. Beyond this, I will always remember him as an amazing father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Those who knew Jin knew he was passionate, loving, and compassionate, but also for being there for anyone who needed him. He loved connecting with people and making people happy. While his love for God and faith grew stronger as he endured the hardship of battling his cancer, he continued to love his family and friends and this was his primary driving force to live for each day that he was blessed to have.

Jin, Rest in Peace. You fought hard and now can leave behind the physical pain and enjoy all the love directed towards you. You are and will be missed beyond measure. We love you.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service for Jin on Saturday, December 3rd at 1 PM. Service will be held at Korean Central Presbyterian Church located at 15451 Lee Highway (Route 29), Centreville, VA 22120.

Jin's primary thoughts and wishes were for Abby's bright future especially in light of not being physically present. In honor of his wishes, a fund has been established to assist in Abby's education, so in lieu of or in addition to flowers, please consider contributing to Abby's future
