Help Summer Rebuild her Life

As Christians, we feel led to help those in need, and our friend, Summer Couch, really needs our help.

Summer is a loving grandmother to her two grandchildren that she is raising, and a welder by trade.

On March 1st, she was critically injured at work. Summer was under a dump truck, showing a customer the work she had completed on his vehicle. Not knowing Summer was under the truck, the customer’s coworker got into the truck and started driving it away, trapping Summer under the vehicle.

She suffered a broken back, a pinched spine, 6 broken ribs, a punctured lung, severed liver, a fractured shoulder, and a pressure wound on her foot. She was treated at OU Medical Center, then transferred to Baylor Medical Center, where she was informed that she is paralyzed from the waist down due to her pinched spine.

Summer has been released from the hospital and is now back home.

Her home will need to be renovated to accommodate her wheelchair (doorways, cabinets, counters, shower, ramps, etc...), and she will need a handicap van.
