Help A Father In Need

At an early age, Juan was committed to living better than what his childhood allowed. He swore that the lives of his children will be better than his. Like many other, he made the long and dangerous journey to the United States, searching for a better life. When he arrived, he immediately puts himself to work: he achieved his GED, became a household electrician, and was finally able to support his mother in his homeland. But above all, his greatest accomplishments were to become a father of three with his life-long partner Irais: his son Adair, his daughter Ashley, and his chaparrita, 7 year old Arantxa. 

Unfortunately, Juan suffered a severe stroke which landed him in medical care and in a long plan to recovery. But soon after recovering from his first stroke a year and a half later, he suffered another more severe stroke (a hemorrhagic stroke) causing him to land in around-the-clock intensive care. But due to the severity and lethality of his stroke, his brain became incapacitated resulting in him losing most of his motor functions. He is currently in the ICU being monitored 24/7. He has a respirator and a EVD drain (a temporary drain that pulls spinal liquid out of the brain) inserted in his skull.

Juan and his family was not financially ready for an emergency of this magnitude so any bit of help will be much appreciated.

Desde joven, Juan se ha esforzado en tener una vida mejor de la que tuvo en su niñez. Juró que sus hijos tendrían una vida mejor que la de él. Como muchos, realizó el largo y peligroso viaje a los Estados Unidos, buscando la vida prometida. Al llegar, comenzó a trabajar de inmediato: estudió para obtener su GED, consiguió una carrera como electricista y finalmente pudo ayudarle a su mamá que vive en su tierra natal. Sobre todo, su gran logro fue convertirse en padre de tres con su pareja de toda la vida, Irais: su hijo Adair, su hija Ashley y su chaparrita de siete años, Arantxa.

Desafortunadamente, Juan sufrió un derrame cerebral severo que lo mandó al hospital con un plan extenso para recuperarse. Después de un año y medio de recuperarse de su primer derrame, sufrió otro derrame cerebral aún más fuerte (un derrame hemorrágico), causando que requiera cuidado intensivo a todas horas. Debido a la severidad y letalidad del derrame, su cerebro se ha incapacitado y ha perdido su función esencial. En este momento está en el ICU con supervisión 24/7. Esta entubado a un respirador y ocupa drenaje ventricular externo (drena el líquido cefalorraquídeo de su cerebro).

Juan y su familia no están muy estables económicamente y cualquier ayuda es apreciada inmensamente.
