Hello Everyone,
In November 2020 Shenean was diagnosed with a rare illness called AL Amyloidosis It is very closely related to cancer, multiple myeloma. This disease caused severe irreversible damage to her heart. She would need a heart transplant.
Shenean was being cared for by Johns Hopkins Hospital until they informed us that they do not have the ability to perform a heart transplant on a patient with AL Amyloidosis. Hopkins sent her to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee where she was to be evaluated for a transplant and then return home to Maryland.
When they did the evaluation in Tennessee they found that her heart was far more damaged then they thought. They told her she has to stay in Tennessee until she got a new heart. They put her on the transplant list immediately. Only a few days later on July 2, a matching heart was found and she received the transplant.
The surgery was successful and the heart is working but, she is now having complications with her kidneys and lungs. Shenean has to be in the hospital for an indefinite amount of time to rehab from the surgery and recover from the complications. She has already been in the hospital for 6 weeks.

Once she is out of the hospital she has to officially move to Nashville for at least a year for post op appointments, recovery, and rehab. We are asking for generous donations for medical and living expenses.
Shenean’s mother and aunt uprooted themselves from Florida and also need move to Tennessee to take care of her. If you know Shenean, you know she is always the life of the party and is always willing to try and help others with their problems. She now needs your help and support, anything is greatly appreciated. Thank you for the help in advance
