Les expongo el caso de mi Tio Pedro Borrero.
A consecuencia de una tos persistente y ataques de asma durante más de seis meses (segundo semestre de 2018), el médico tratante Dr. Jose Gregorio Medina (Centro Médico Maracay - CMM) decidió solicitarle una resonancia magnética para chequear sus pulmones. Le encontraron un tumor en el lóbulo inferior del pulmón derecho. Luego en marzo se le realizó una broncoscopia para revisar sus vías respiratorias, donde le encontraron que hasta donde pudieron visualizar esta limpio.
El Dr. Medina lo remitió a la Dra. Tiwskarys Chalo Castro también del CMM donde concluyo que debía operarse lo más pronto posible. El 24 de abril de este año fue operado con éxito y actualmente está en recuperación. En la biopsia realizada in situ y la biopsia extemporánea se determinó el tipo de Cáncer (Adenocarcinoma). En los exámenes que se ha realizado posteriormente, no encontraron restos del tumor. Igualmente, salió bien en los exámenes posteriores como Gammagrama óseo.
Sin embargo, según las recomendaciones de la Dra. CarolinaBaptista (oncólogo del CMM) es necesario aplicarle 4 quimioterapias para garantizar su total recuperación.
Como es sabido, actualmente en Venezuela estos medicamentos no se consiguen. Ademas los costos de estos tratamientos son elevados y tienen que correr por cuenta propia, estos medicamentos tienen que ser comprados en el exterior. Por lo cual es necesario reunir los recursos para la compra del tratamiento, actualmente se pudo comprar la primera dosis para inicio del mismo, pero se requiere una diferencia importante para comprar el resto del Tratamiento y lograr su total recuperacion. Contamos con tu ayuda para ayudar a que mi tio Pedro continue disfrutando de una buena salud.

I present the case of my Uncle Pedro Borrero.
As a result of a persistent cough and asthma attacks for more than six months (second half of 2018), the attending physician Dr. Jose Gregorio Medina (Maracay Medical Center - CMM) decided to request an MRI to check his lungs. They found a tumor in the lower lobe of the right lung. Then in March he underwent a bronchoscopy to check his airways, where he was found that as far as they could see it is clean.
Dr. Medina referred him to Dr. Tiwskarys Chalo Castro also of the CMM where he concluded that it should be operated as soon as possible. On April 24 of this year it was operated successfully and is currently in recovery. In the biopsy performed in situ and the extemporaneous biopsy, the type of Cancer (Adenocarcinoma) was determined. In the tests that have been performed subsequently, they found no remains of the tumor. Likewise, it went well in subsequent examinations such as bone scan.
However, according to the recommendations of Dr. CarolinaBaptista (CMM oncologist) it is necessary to apply 4 chemotherapies to ensure her full recovery.
As is known, these medicines are currently not available in Venezuela. In addition the costs of these treatments are high and they have to run on their own, these medicines have to be bought abroad. Therefore, it is necessary to gather the resources for the purchase of the treatment, the first dose could be purchased at the beginning of the treatment, but an important difference is required to buy the rest of the Treatment and achieve its full recovery.
