Hello family and friends. I’m reaching out on behalf of my youngest daughter Destiny. As a lot of you know she has a rare condition called neurofibromatosis or NF1. She inherited this disease from me. In a nutshell this condition causes tumors to grow on all the nerves in your body. She has battled this condition for years since she was basically still a baby, she is now 14 years old. She has tumors growing on her optic nerve and is steadily going blind. She did infusion chemotherapy for 2 years with no great results. They switched her to a pill form of chemotherapy that’s she has had a terrible reaction to. She was flown by helicopter to Cooks Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth where she is being treated. She at this point has third degree burns all over her body has pneumonia and is having a blood transfusion as we speak. She is going to need a lot going forward in terms of help, doctors visits, equipment, ect and we will be there to help her with every step. She is a tough cookie and a fighter like you have ever seen. I’m asking if you feel in your heart to give to her cause we would be eternally great full. Above all please keep her in your prayers. We continue to trust God for miracles and have never wavered from the fact that God loves this child he entrusted to us more than we love her which is hard to imagine considering the level of love we have for her but that truth keeps us grounded in the fact that He has a plan for all of this. God is good in every situation. We are specifically trying to purchase a particular type of wheelchair that’s not covered by insurance but would be a big help for Destiny. Thanks so much.
