Hi, My name is Melissa, and I started this fundraiser to help my brother-in-law, Mark.

As some of you may know, Mark was in a horrific car accident heading into work on October 27th, 2022.

While Mark is lucky to be alive, he did not walk away without injury. In fact, he broke his nose, a vertebra in his neck, a vertebra in his lower back, and his hand. His hand required surgery, and his back and neck injuries will require at least six months spent in braces, with multiple doctor's appointments and therapies in his immediate future.

Mark has a very physical job and will not be able to work for at least the next 6 months. He had just returned to work from an existing back injury and has no vacation time or disability to cover his time off. This will create a huge financial strain for him and I am hoping that this money will help ease some of that stress!
