HELP SIVANJA ON HER WAY TO MOSCOW FOR HER STAM CELL TRANSPLANT.




Our friend Sivanja Jeanette Haugen is affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a disease that affects the central nervous system.

Symptoms may include numbness, visual disturbance, impaired walking function, paralysis in the arms and legs, balance problems, dizziness, problems with fine motorism and chronic fatigue.

The disease develops quickly, and it is urgent for Sivanja to get treatment in Moscow, as this is her last chance to return to work, and not least to hold the promise she gave her children three years ago; that mother is going to get well.


As of today there are no medicines in the Norwegian market that can cure MS, only remedies. But these do not give enough effect to Sivanja. She, like several other Norwegian MS patients, has therefore used stem cell treatment abroad. A treatment that Norwegian authorities do not support against this disease, due to too little Norwegian research.

Sivanja wanted to join a research project conducted at Haukeland University Hospital, where a few MS patients were allowed to carry out stem cell transplant, but unfortunately received a rejection of this application because she is taking the brake medicine Rituximab.

In 2016, she went to Mexico to get stem cell treatment, most of which was paid by her own pocket. After receiving this treatment, she learned how to get quality of life back, but unfortunately only for one year when it turned out that this treatment did not produce the desired effect. That is why she now wishes to carry out stem cell treatment in Moscow (Russia). This treatment is tougher than the treatment given in Mexico, and it has been found that several Norwegian MS patients who have completed this treatment in Moscow today have stopped further development of the disease and gained full quality of life. We also wish this to happen to Sivanja and her family!

The treatment abroad is very expensive and to get this she must pay 50,000 USD, which, with today's rate, corresponds to approx. 400.000 NOK. She has gotten space already on July 24th, so the time to collect the most needed funds is scarce. In order for Sivanja to get the opportunity for this treatment, we need help, and we created this SPLEIS. We appreciably appreciate all contributions that come in. No contribution is too small, everything will be very helpful!
