Late Sunday evening, surrounded by his parents, Teri and Greg, his brother, Kyle, his sister Renae and his partner Clay, our sweet Scott passed away. He left us peacefully and on his own terms, surrounded by the immense love of those whom he cherished the most.
We are all grieving this sudden loss, as the void he left on this earth is unmeasurable.
----
Please help us support our sweet Scott and his wonderful family, the Burdicks, at a time when everything feels so uncertain. Scott has always been an old soul: quiet strength, humble in character & deeply compassionate. Every memory is even sweeter because of his sweet personality and quirky humor. Scott has always been unwavering in his care and support of family. He is a beautiful son, a dedicated partner, a supportive sibling, a fun-loving cousin & nephew, the best uncle, and a friend to all. And it is now time for us to return all of the kindness that Scott has shown us.
Scott was hospitalized with pneumonia several weeks ago, and was released home with treatment. Earlier last week, due to complications, Scott's conditioned worsened and he collapsed at home unable to breath on his own. Currently, his prognosis is unclear, as he is on a ventilator and minimally responsive.
What we do know is that Scott is young and incredibly strong-willed. And even more poignant is the strength of the Burdick and Renken families. Their love and connection has the ability to bring hope and miracles when science is at a loss. While we do not know what the next day, week or month brings, we know that whatever the journey ahead for Scott and his family will be long and they will need our financial support.
Please consider donating to show Scott and the Burdicks that their village is here to support them.
