This go fund me is for Evee, the life long soul cat of our friend Kayte. Evee was rescued by Kayte when both of them were practically “kids” themselves and have been healing one another since. She was a victim of terrible abuse as a young cat and through patience and love, she grew to trust again with her person.

Since entering her golden years Evee seemed to fall chronically ill almost overnight. It came on strong and fast with no mercy.  She’s been diagnosed with a mix bag of chronic UTI’s, kidney failure, heart disease and possibly cancer. Due to her not being able to withstand the anesthesia for testing, the vets have made an educated guess on the cancer from other symptoms, bloodwork and images from X-rays. Evee has suffered multiple seizures, painful UTI‘s, loss of bladder control, vomiting and even one round of experimental chemo. Kayte has spared NO expense because EVEE WANTS to be here and she’s Kayte’s best friend in the world.

She shows us her zombie level strength as a 5 pound sick old lady by reviving herself beyond the odds everytime a medication or treatment is given. That said, unfortunately there is no cure and she’s in what can be considered palliative care.

This go fund me is unfortunately not to save her life but to help give her the most stable REST of her life however long that may be. Kayte has maxed out all her credit cards and savings and now help is needed.

The severity of her condition means Evee has on going appointments ahead to treat her kidneys and has already made several trips to the ER. She already has two follow up appointments in the next two weeks to recheck her anemia and urine. All of the above have torn through the safety nets. Also, end of life care can be expensive, and when Evee decides she’s ready, it would be wonderful for some support to be available to aid in a comfortable transition.

Kayte has been a force in the nightlife industry for a number of years serving you in all your favorite places from Arlene’s grocery to Irving plaza and more. This would be a wonderful time to show her some support so she can return the unconditional love to her baby in her time of need.
