Maggie's surgery
Maggie is 7 months old and has one of the most severe cases of luxating patella's we have ever seen. Both of her knee caps have slid off to the sides so she cannot straighten her legs. Maggie was surrendered by her family due to her disability and if they had sent her back to the breeder she would have been euthanized!
Every year we do a Christmas Miracle, we take in a dog with a severe issue, that other rescues won't, due to the cost involved. Last year we did heart surgery, and we have done this every year, besides all the other surgeries we provide throughout the year for the Poodles/dogs we take in.
Maggie loves to play with toys and has learnt to toss them in the air and try to catch them or let them land close by so she doesn't have to chase them. She has a wonderful personality and is just so sweet and gentle. We immediately said we would take her, as she will be a normal little Poodle after her surgery. She has a surgery date for Friday 10th November and then will need weeks of physio therapy.
We are hoping we can raise enough to cover her surgery, and even a penny we have donated is a penny we didn't have yesterday, so we are grateful for ANY donation.
Toy Poodle Rescue is a registered 501 (C) 3 charity in the state of Massachusetts. 100% of donations goes to our dogs (in this case Maggie) we are all volunteers and are not paid for our time and commitment.
Thank you, we are go grateful.
