Betty’s medical support

It’s the diagnosis no one is prepared for. The words you never think you’ll utter when speaking about your own health. It’s having to walk through the halls of offices you never wanted to see the inside of and meeting the type of doctor you’re most unfamiliar with and never, never wanted to know anything about. And yet, here she is embarking on a journey that will require the utmost of what she is - mind, body, and soul.

My name is Gabrielle and I am the youngest of Betty’s two daughters. My mom was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in January 2024. I’ve created this fundraiser with the intent to raise money for my mom to have the freedom to explore and choose the best treatment for this diagnosis.

Looking back, this may have started years ago. Her first biopsy was done in 2017 which led her to believe there was nothing to worry about, and she had no other symptoms that would lead her to believe otherwise. Then in September of 2023 a persistent swollen lymph node caused her to ask that another biopsy be performed. She would not have the final diagnosis until 4 months later. After a PET scan, a second lymph node has now become cause for concern and we are currently waiting for another biopsy to be performed to get a better grasp on the gravity of what we’re dealing with.

It is with humility, gratefulness, and sincere openness to what the Lord has in store that I ask for aid in paying for tests, procedures, medicines, supplements, and treatments. There is no easy way to ask for help and especially when asking for monetary support. So for any gift we offer our most sincere “Thank you”. For your generosity - given in small or large amounts - we truly are so thankful.
