Help us build a new classroom

Donation protected
The unfortunate truth is that far too many children in Tanzania do not have access to adequate education.  Without being able to afford education, many of these children are left at home or even on the street.  Kyosei Training Center is an educational organization, whose mission is to create a sustainable primary school in Arusha and provide a free education to these vulnerable children, orphans, and impoverished families.  Kyosei Training Center not only provides a foundational educational curriculum, but also provides professional training in computer skills, international languages, tourism, and hospitality, as well as workshops for women empowerment and hygiene.  For many children and families, Kyosei is the only gateway for an opportunity of a bright future.

Children who live in the rural lands outside of Arusha are especially vulnerable, as many of them live without electricity, running water, and only have access to over-crowded public schools that are extremely far away.  Therefore, many of these children are left at home and never end up never attending school.  These children fall extremely far behind and are compromised from this disadvantage for the rest of their lives.  Kyosei's mission is to provide an education to as many of these children who live in the rural lands as possible.  However, they currently only have one classroom building and and one over-worked teacher.  They desperately need to expand their capacity by building another classroom in order to be officially approved as a pre- and primary school by the government and help more children out of a future of poverty.  Many children in the community cannot attend classes until the new classroom is built and are therefore waiting for their chance for education to begin.  The addition of a new classroom not only provides education to more underprivileged children and orphans, but also allows students to receive a more comprehensive and individualized experience in the classroom, in which students can be split up into smaller groups in order to receive the individual attention they need to succeed.

The goal of $12,200 would be used to pay for all raw materials, construction costs, furniture, and necessary school supplies.  Any support would make an enormous impact in these children’s lives.   The urgency and importance of this project cannot be stressed enough, as even small donations will make a huge difference in our mission to help as many children as possible.
