Donation protected
Hi my name is Julie I am the owner/ manager of a small specialist foster based Malinois rescue
New Dawn was founded in November 2017 and has been very successfully rehabilitating retraining and rehoming malinois and a small number of other breeds and breed mixes ever since
Some of the dogs needing our help are owner relinquish some come to us from a variety of other agencies and authorities including police council pounds and other rescues
Most of our dogs arrive with no history no vaccination no microchip
All of our dogs are thoroughly assessed rehabilitated retrained when we work to resolve any issues a dog may have while in our care
All of our dogs leave us vet checked wormed deflead vaccinated microchipped neutered ( where possible sometimes a dog is too young to neuter when a neuter policy is put in place)
We very carefully vet all potential adopters matching them to what we hope will be their life long best friend loyal companion and sometimes work partner
We offer full life time support and RBU ( rescue back up) for all our dogs
Some of our dogs have gone on to achieve incredible things including one who has been awarded the top hmp patrol dog in the uk title two years running
Our adoption fee is £350 this rarely covers the expenses incurred for a dog while in our care waiting for their forever homes
Sometimes such expenses can run in £1000s
New Dawn is run entirely by volunteers who devote every spare minute of their time working hard to help Malinois the breed we are so passionate about
Sadly social media and films such as Max and John Wick 3 catapulted the Malinois into the public eye everyone wanted a dog like Max as a pet
The majority of Malinois in rescue are working line these dogs need jobs of some description and rarely make the best pets hence the huge influx of Malinois into rescues
The showline Malinois has as yet escaped public interest and remains heavily protected by the showline Malinois community
Here at New Dawn we are asked to take Malinois on a daily basis often these dogs are at immediate risk of pts
We try to help as many dogs as we possibly can but as a very small self funded rescue our resources including funds are very limited
In the last week alone we have saved the lives of four dogs at risk of pts including two 16 weeks old pups and assisted with another dog at risk of pts by offering RBU
We desperately need your help
Our funds like most rescues are incredibly low at the moment we need donations to help us continue with our work
Christmas is fast approaching a time when many older dogs are cast aside to make space for the new Christmas puppy
We usually receive multiple requests to take pups sometimes as soon as Boxing Day after the novelty has worn off
Please visit our Facebook page to see the work we do
Please donate to help us if you can
Lots of Love from
Julie Bev and Lia ( the New Dawn management team) and our dogs xx
This is where we desperately need
