If you are viewing this go fund me, you most likely saw the video of my grandmother discovering that her house and the homes of her six out of eight children were devastated in Jamaica by Hurricane Melissa. A catastrophic Category 5 storm that impacted the island on October 27 and 28. Hurricane Melissa inflicted extensive harm on residences, infrastructure, and services, ruined agriculture, initiated landslides and sudden flooding, and isolated rural areas from vital supplies.
I am collecting money to assist my grandma, uncles, and aunts in Manchester, Jamaica, in rebuilding their lives following this disaster. They have lost roofs and experienced substantial losses to their means of living. Roads throughout the island are impassable, power is out, and it will require a considerable amount of time to recover. As soon as electricity and transport are back online and funds can be securely moved, I will provide updates on the utilization of contributions and the effects they have achieved. The money will be used to rebuild their roofs and get them back on track.
I understand that numerous individuals wish to assist Jamaica in its recovery, yet some may be uncertain about where to direct their support or if it will truly benefit those in need. This fundraiser provides a method to ensure your kindness has a clear, direct effect on the lives of individuals reconstructing from scratch.
I greatly appreciate your kindness, support, and generosity. Each contribution impacts positively.
