A colleague was recently notified with possible cancer in the uterus. As many know, cancer does not discriminate; it's a battle to face early even when we don't want to believe it's happening. The doctors have informed that surgery is needed. Unfortunately, the costs of the surgery and follow-up care exceed the current financial resources.
- My colleague decided to postpone the surgery and delay the care. Being in the field for many years, I know the sooner she gets the surgery, the better outcome she might have. I'm concerned about my colleague facing this alone, but I'm determined to fight together and help.
