As friends and family, you know that Sara is facing an incredible challenge right now. On October 20, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Adrenocortical Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Over the course of a few short weeks, her life was transformed from writing her PhD dissertation at UC Berkeley and training for a 50-mile ultramarathon to starting chemotherapy and other all-consuming, aggressive treatments. Sara's strength and resilience shine through, but this is a journey no one should have to walk alone.
