Ms. Vicki Larsen is an amazing teacher/mentor/angel that came into my life a year ago as she provided home hospital education to my daughter Janae. Not only did she keep her caught up while she was out of school , but she instilled hope and confidence in her and helped her  believe she could be successful in school. My daughter is one example of many of the kids she has blessed by helping them find their way to success.

Vicki was recently diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and is temporarily unable to work.  She not only holds a full time position at Evergreen Elementary in Rohnert Park, but she also supports kids who have special needs, as well as kids who are assigned home hospital ( for medical or mental health reasons).  Vicki is a teacher in the true sense of the word. She teachers more than just reading and writing. She meets each individual kid where they are at in their process and provides the foundation needed to be successful. 

Vicki is is a ray of light and is adored by the kids as well as her friends and family. She is undergoing aggressive treatment with radiation and chemotherapy.  The treatment Is a long and hard process which will continue through May and keep her out of school. She is at home with her two beautiful daughters fighting hard to get well and continue to shine her light in the world.
