Our brother Charlie was recently diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disease.  Treatment means travel, and travel means money.

Please give back to a real hero, and all around good guy.

Charlie has been working as a reserve firefighter in Sunriver as a fire medic.  He has been the first responder to countless 911 calls, and has provided life saving emergency medicine to many members of our community.

He has battled fires, life-threatening injuries, and now – just as he set out to begin a career as a full-fledged firefighter paramedic – he begins a battle for his own life.

Charlie is our friend, brother, uncle, son, and hero.  The men he works with at the fire department recently raised over $2,000 to help cover his travel expenses and co-pays.  We’re looking to raise another $20,000 to cover some immediate costs for the tests, and time lost while he’s away from the fire station.

 
We’ve been worried about Charlie, but all he’s been worried about is that he won’t get to be a firefighter anymore.


His brothers on C-Shift at Sunriver FD love him, and he loves them.
