Aj needs a new car

Hi, my name is Aj Davis and I need help.On January 15th, 2021 I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento from a used car dealership after being without a car for almost 6 months. I struggled to maintain during this time and I attempted to hold things together while also helping others. I made this purchase after struggling with saving for the downpayment and insurance costs. I  made the purchase from a local dealership and thought little about it because I thought that the dealer was an honest and reputable establishment.

About a week after I purchased the vehicle (which was financed), I noticed some mechanical noises that caused some concern. I attempted to reach out to the dealership to ask them to take a look at the vehicle because I had not even had the car 2 weeks yet. I took the vehicle to the designated mechanic and at that time the mechanic upon a preliminary investigation says that it sounded like an issue with a stuck piston which sounded extensive. I informed the dealership and although I had some reservations about it I trusted the process. After about a couple of days I reached out to the dealership regarding the progress with repairs. The person that I was communicating with was seemingly empathetic as I emphasized that I had just purchased the vehicle and was using it for my transportation to and from work. I inquired about some type of loaner vehicle if the repairs would take longer than a couple days (it had already been 3) and the person I was communicating with stated that they would look into it.

This was probably the last legitimate communication that took place where I felt like the dealer was going to do the right thing. After this conversation, I once again attempted to get a timeframe for the completion of the repairs and kept getting the feeling that I was being ignored. At that point it was about a week since I had taken the vehicle to the mechanic and the dealership was not making any attempts to communicate proactively with me. I called the dealership on a Saturday, which was about a week and a day after I took it in, and I got a different person who then attempted to tell me that the mechanic was just waiting for a part (something I was told days earlier). I didn't feel confident about the response and I called the mechanic directly and the mechanic basically said that the repair required a complete removal of the motor.

At that point I once again attempted to reach the dealership and not surprisingly no response. I sent emails detailing that I was disappointed in the lack of communication from them and I began taking steps to secure legal representation to address this matter.  As of right now, I am once again without a vehicle and out of the money that I used to purchase a now non functioning vehicle. I am a caregiver for my  mother and attempting to take care of her needs while also managing other responsibilities.

I am a proud person and I make this request humbly, I need to secure another vehicle so that I can continue working and taking care of my mother. I am requesting $5000 because I hope to be able to purchase a vehicle outright so that I do not have to deal with a dealership again. I am having to use funds for household expenses and now legal fees, so it is an extremely tight financial time for me. It is extremely humbling to have to ask for help especially during these challenging times. I need this asap because I am already 2 weeks without a vehicle and transportation costs are still mounting.  It is extremely embarrasing but I definitely am at my wits end.

Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated and I will be humbly grateful.
