My name is Clooney, and I live in Toronto, Canada with my mom, Maja.

Over Christmas, we traveled to New York City to visit family. While my mom stayed with relatives, I stayed at a trusted friend’s home, where I met two dog friends. On the third day, something completely unexpected happened - one of the dogs suddenly attacked me, leaving me unable to stand or move.

I spent two weeks in an emergency hospital ICU fighting for my life. Doctors found I had suffered a severe neurological injury affecting all four of my legs. I needed an MRI under anesthesia, developed fluid in my spine, and sustained seven bite wounds. One became infected and opened on my chest, exposing my organs and complicating my recovery.

During treatment, I was also diagnosed with a congenital condition called caudal occipital malformation syndrome (COMS), which made this injury especially dangerous. My condition remains critical, and recovery will take many months.

Despite everything, I am determined to walk again. My mom has not left my side and has done everything possible to give me the best chance at healing.

Medical bills have already exceeded $21,000 - even before starting physiotherapy - and more costs are still to come. We created this GoFundMe to help cover emergency care, diagnostics, hospitalization, medications, wound treatment, physiotherapy, and ongoing recovery.
