This year has been incredibly tough for our family and we have done our best to rise above it, but right now I’m leaning on the support from our community to help us get through this rough time. Our family has struggled financially this entire year. And it’s hard for us to ask for help like this since everybody is probably experiencing the same thing we are right now. At the beginning of the year, we were doing great as we were both working full time, well then I received a garnishment from a medical bill. While it was a small garnishment, it still took a significant portion of my paycheck each month so that was the start of us getting behind. I paid it off within a few months and we figured that would be the end of it. Well, then Court lost his job in June. We were already behind so the struggle continued. I got a new job to help pay the bills while court looked endlessly for a job. Eventually he got a job and we thought that we would be able to get back on our feet. Well then our beautiful son Grayson was born in October, but in turn I had to be off work for 6 weeks which put us even farther behind. We were already incredibly behind at this point so having to take off 6 weeks really dug us deeper into the hole we were already in. Now, I am back to work and working two full time jobs and court is working as well, but our son Grayson has had health problems since he was about 2 weeks old. What we thought was just normal colic turned out to be a cows milk protein allergy that cause him to scream for hours and break out in a horrible rash. Because of his allergies we have spent hundreds on trying to find the right formula for him. He is doing better now but he is still struggling with severe acid reflux. Even though I am back to work, I am missing work frequently due to the fact that he has several doctors appointments right now. He also recently caught influenza and RSV which in turn cause court to miss 3 days of work to stay home and take care of him. To make a long story short this year has been hard. On top of the financial struggles our only family car has broken down a few times this year. We have been blessed to receive help from our family and friends, but right now we just need to get caught up. This is hard for us to ask for help, but I’ve learned that community is important and right now we are leaning on the community to help us. We would just like to get caught up on our bills for the month of December so we can finally breathe. Anything would help. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
