As many of you know, my home and my business and all my posessions were incinerated in the Valley Fire as it passed through Cobb, California. It has been the most destructive fire in California history. 

I am not a wealthy person, and must rebuild my life and my livelihood from the little that remains. I had just invested in new equipment to expand my SpectraFix art materials business and it is all gone. Everything is gone.

This experience has brought a deep awareness that we cannot control things, we are not in charge. For all of us, this awareness binds us even more tightly to each other.  This is humanity's greatest strength. In addition to the loss, I am also challenged to put aside my independence and ask for help.  And so I ask for yours.  And I thank you all from my future as I stand there, looking back, knowing that I could never have done it without the love of friends.
